MIH affected enamel The use of a ‘ bleach - etch - seal ’ deproteinization technique on SHAN GANDHI

چکیده
Aims. To ascertain whether deproteinization pretreatment of molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) enamel affects resin sealant infiltration. Design. Thirty one extracted MIH teeth were divided into three sections and randomly allocated into the Control (etch and FS), Treatment 1 (5% NaOCl, etched and fissure sealed), and Treatment 2 (5% NaOCl and fissure sealed with no etch) groups. Two hundred seventy nine sealant tag ⁄ enamel grade observations were recorded by scanning electron microscopy. Results. Control and Treatment 1 were similar in their outcomes, and Treatment 2 was markedly different. There was no statistical evidence to suggest that there was any difference between

Treatment decisions on Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) by Norwegian dentists – a questionnaire study
BACKGROUND The study aimed to explore the variability between the treatment decisions dentists make for MIH-affected teeth. METHODS In 2009, a pre-coded questionnaire was sent electronically to all dentists employed by the Public Dental Service (PDS) in Norway (n = 1061). The questions were related to treatment of MIH-affected teeth, including three patient cases illustrated by photographs an...
متن کاملThe etch-bleach-seal technique for managing stained enamel defects in young permanent incisors.
Hypomineralized enamel defects frequently are manifest as a mottled-white appearance and can be associated with variable degrees of discrete yellow-brown intrinsic staining. Numerous treatment approaches have been proposed, ranging from bleaching to enamel reduction to restorative techniques. Bleaching of hypomineralized enamel lesions, using 1 to 2 applications (10 to 15 minutes each) of 5% so...
متن کاملThe effect of different concentrations of carbamide peroxide on the marginal seal of composite restorations bonded with a self-etch adhesive
Introduction: Bleaching of discolored tooth may affect the tooth/composite interface. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of carbamide peroxide (CP) on the marginal seal of composite restorations bonded with a self-etch adhesive. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study Class V cavities were prepared on the buccal and lingual surfaces o...
متن کاملInfiltration of White-Spot-Lesions and developmental enamel defects
Purpose: To provide an overview of different indications suitable for treatment with the technique of resin infiltration (Icon, DMG), such as white-spot lesions (WSL), enamel fluorosis, and molar-incisor hypomineralisation (MIH), and to propose a valid and strategy feasible in dental surgeries for screening of dental color improvement and -stability. Method: A non-systematic review of the liter...
متن کاملIn Vitro Microleakage of Class V Composite Restorations in Use of Three Adhesive Systems
Background and Aim: Microleakage is a drawback of composite restorations and it is more noticeable in dentinal walls. Despite advances in dentin bonding agents, no adhesive can completely eliminate microleakage and provide a hermetic seal. This study aimed to compare microleakage of three resin bonding agents namely a universal adhesive, two-step self-etch system and two-step total-etch system....
